We offer a range of services to meet the needs of every client. Here is a list of questions we get a on a regular basis for you to reference at any time. Have a question and don’t see it below? We require a signed contract (sent electronically) and a deposit of $500 paid by cash, check, online card, or online bank transfer.
Payment for the deposit needs to be within 30 days of signing the contract.
Once both items are complete your date is secured!

Standard dinner buffet service requires a minimum of 2 8ft tables placed end to end with walk space around the whole set up.
We will bring all of the chafers, servingware, and menus needed. Our team will set it up, attend it, and take it down once the meal is finished.
Guests create their own plate but we are happy to assist if needed.

We cater to the entire Cedar Rapids proper and surrounding areas. Going as far as 60mi away from our home venue.

We can easily accommodate all standard dietary needs. We label our menus to note items that are Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegetarian, and Vegan.
If a guest should need a replacement, we just need to know how many guests, and what need they have. All replacements are Chef’s Choice. If there are less than 12 replacements we do not charge an extra fee.

All standard buffet menus have a minimum guest count of 20.
All boxed meal orders have a minimum guest count of 15.
All orders with Prime Rib have a minimum guest count of 25.
All catering orders have a minimum dollar order of $500 before tax and service fees.

Zest does have a full liquor license so we are able to cater bars offsite.
All beer, seltzer, and wine will be bottles. or cans only. Cases of beer or seltzer are a 24ct, a case of wine is 12 bottles. Liquor will need to be bought by the bottle.
We will provide the bartender, disposable cups, straws, basic mixers, basic garnishes, ice, menus and napkins.
There will be an added service fee of 20% on all bar orders.

China Package: Our china package is 1 Dinner plate, 1 silver fork, 1 silver butter knife. Flatware is rolled in a white linen napkin. Plates are placed at the front of the buffet, flatware rolls are placed at the end of the buffet. This is $10 per person and includes bussing of the listed items.
Plated meals: Plated Meals are an elevated way to serve your meal. Our team will plate and serve the meals directly to the tables. We need to have a seating chart, floor plan, labeled place cards, and some other logistics that goes into it.
Bussing Services: To bus 3rd Party dinnerware (plate, fork knife, napkin), Client or Venue needs to provide receptacles for the dirty dishware and linens. Our staff will bus the listed items for an additional $2 per person.
Butler Passed Appetizers: We have a curated menu that works best for our staff to walk the room with appetizers instead of having your guests serve them themselves. Pricing is dependent on which items you choose and subject to availability. Please inquire within.
Water Service: Glassware needs to be provided by a 3rd party. This can be rented by the client or Zest. The venue or client must provide the ice and access to water.
We will fill and set the items once before dinner.
To just fill and set the water is $3 per person. To add the bussing of the glassware as well increases the price to $5 per person.
If Zest is tasked with renting the glassware, there will be an additional 30% fee
Weddings

Offsite Clients: Rehearsal Dinners are treated like any other catering. There is nothing different that needs to happen.
Rosedale & Eastbank Clients: There is a $200 deposit to reserve your rehearsal dinner with a minimum order of $500. The deposit does go toward your final invoice.
*Utilizing one of our partnered venues allows you to have access to their china package at no additional cost for the day of, and more menu options to create more of an unforgettable experience.

For our tastings we do them in a group form to be able to have more options available for our clients to try and our staff is also available for any questions and assistance in planning.
We host these Open Houses multiple times a year and once you book with us you are invited to each one within the 12mos of your date.
We allow all tentative couples to attend one before booking and it is complementary for 2 people.

Yourselves (of course!), any guests over the age of 5, and any vendors (excluding us) that you need to feed. Please also include any guests with dietary needs in your final guest count.
